Hi,

Just came across about the best calcuator I have seen yet to determine our health stats. This does far more than give  you your bmi. It will check your waist/hip ratio, and give you a tailored breakdown of macronutritent levels. I was especially happy to see that this one puts the macros more closely to what we tend to run as wls patients. For example, it gave me a 100g protein target. Most are usually waaayyyyy to low. My carb recommendation was at 250- I used to do that until my a1c started creeping up again. Fat gram targets, vitamin targets, you get the idea. Take a peek here if you are interested.

I found that when I put in my detailed data, it came back within a gram or two of the macros Livestrong.com gives me. I'm guessing the formula is fairly universal. The one thing I see as a major fault with this site is that it will not allow you do change the macros to represent a ketogenic diet. It requires the macro numbers to stay within US govt. recommendations for nutrition (e.g. carbs must range between 45 & 65% of your daily macros).
