No loss?!

my VSG was 7-7-16 and I haven't lost any weight at all in a week. Anyone else experience this? I'm pretty upset by it.

Search "3 week stall".  Just about everyone experiences a stall at or around the 3 week mark.

Also, don't expect to lose weight every single week.  Most folks weight loss is more like stair steps.  Lose two weeks and then lose nothing, then lose some more and then nothing.

If you were expecting to lose weight every single week then you may be very disappointed.

I've looked at some old threads, but didn't see this particular thing answered...

It's possible to hit your 3 week stall right out of surgery?  If so, I'm glad I saw this now.

Some people don't lose anything for a week or two. There can be water weight from the anesthesia/IV/pain meds, and we can bloat a bit from all of the stuff our body is dealing with as it heals. Have patience and it'll happen!

Really....DON"T freak out....I had the same experience...as most of us have all gone through it too.....it happens here and there.  Stick to your plan.  Sometimes when we don't see a loss on the scale,  there is a loss in inches.  I hope you are keeping track of all of your measurements too, because they are fun to watch along with the scale.  Relax,  don't get discouraged and it is all going to be good.

Hang in there

It's the dreaded 3 wk stall, and it will pass.   Try on clothes or measure for other ways to gage weight loss during the stalls.  You'll be fine.  :)

As others have mentioned, this is the "3 week stall." Your body is finally adjusting to its new configuration and things slow down.

After the first few weeks, you won't lose weight every day. Heck, you may not lose every week! We didn't gain everything in a month, and we sure won't lose it that fast either.

Log your weight every week and then look at the long-term trends. You'll definitely see a downward curve; not necessarily a smooth, straight line, but a definite pattern.

You might do a search for the dreaded three year stall.
