Hi Gang!! How are you guys. I hope all is well and everyone is happy at this stage.

6months out and I have lost a 80lbs. I feel great and look great, I run without getting tired. People say I look lighter than I really am. Oh and the ladies won't stay off of me. LOL But things are good. I wonder what comes next for me.

Even with all the laughter and excitement above. I must say I struggle on some day. I get this weird pain in my stomach, and the gas pains are horrible, food still gets stuck in my chest feels like a chest congestion. And also, I think I am lactose intolerant now. How am I supposed to mix my protein shakes? And ideas on the pain and completed healing of the stomach?

What has your surgeon said about these things? At six months post-op, your stomach should be healed and these pains aren't normal.

As for the shakes, I use unsweetened original almond milk for my shakes.

Congratulations!!! We are close to the same sleeve date. I can totally relate to the gas pains - I always have Gas-X on me. As far as food getting stuck, that happens to me if I don't chew my food well enough or eat too fast, which is quite often. I was having trouble with milk, thought I was lactose intolerant also, but started using Fairlife milk and haven't had a problem since. It's more expensive but I like the extra protein it gives if you can tolerate it. My doctor doesn't like me using it - his motto - milk is for babies. Whatever . . .

The future looks so bright now!
