Possibly your gallbladder is acting up? Or have you had it removed?

Another thought is a rib fracture. You can get a rib fracture without realising you've injured yourself.

I would definitely see a doctor about this.

Topic: Sharp Pain Question

I had VSG on 12/8/14 trying to get off 30 lbs of regained weight. Today's question pertains to left side sharp pain. Just wondering if anyone else has this type of pain and what may be causing this sharp pain. The exact location of the pain is on my left side just below my rib cage. The pain comes to be when I turn over a certain way in my bed trying to lay on my side. The pain is so sharp it almost takes my breath away. It takes a few moments for it to go away. I have to breathe slowly and move very carefully to get into a safe position to get the pain to stop. While the pain is sharp it is very difficult for me to move around. I thought maybe I was constipated but why the sharp pain? Why does it hurt only when I turn a certain way while lying in bed? Then I am wondering if it is scar tissue on my stomach? Just wondering if anyone has this type of pain? What are your thoughts as to what may be causing this? I take miralax every morning for constipation. Would constipation cause a sharp pain on the left side just below my last rib? Your thoughts? Thank you!!

Nausea resolved on its own, but chronic fatigue has taken its place. I truly give up

It is scarey when young ones go, especially when they are so close to your own age. My GERD got so bad that I revised to RNY. No more GERD! I hope you are finding some relief from yours...I know it's no fun.

Again, it's so good to see you pop up again. You went through sooo much with your leak. I don't hear much about anyone having a leak anymore, but many sleevers are having GERD problems.

I hang out on the RNY board now though I very seldom post. There is a whole new group of great people and absolutely none of the fighting or nastiness that went on back in our day 11 or 12 years ago. The "What are you eating today?" string is always good.

Hugs to you!

It was a shocker, didn't realize he was only 4 years older than I. He was a great surgeon! My body just didn't want to cooperate!!! LoL . . I'm still doing well! Only thing I fight now is GERD. My sleeve still works great when I fill it the proper nutrients! I maintain a size 16 but, would like to get down to 14/12.. I hope you're doing well yourself.

I'm sure no one remembers me! I was one of the leaky sleeve survivors of 2008. But, wanted to share that my surgeon passed away at the age of 53. I'm sharing incase others that may of had Dr. Klassen also and the life changing experience he had given us!
