Expected weight loss with lap-band
I had RNY so I can't really say. What does your doc say?
Just know that you can do it. If you give it 100% and follow the rules you will be successful. We have several bandsters on the lw board that have done great. Hopefully they will post their successes for you to read.
I have a friend who has the band. She was not a lightweight to begin with but she has lost over 160 pounds. So if you follow the rules it will work.
Best of luck to you.
Hopefully some of the other gals will chime in with their experiences.

One of my doc's Lap band patients lost 250 lb. Is that enough for you?

Hi Susan,
My surgeon's numbers say only 50-60% EWL in 2 years. That's the average and not lightweights only. He didn't state any long term success statistics like he did with VSG, RNY and DS.
