What I'm thinking is it's because your tastes may change. Early out, once I could eat solids, the taste of beef was VERY off. It's getting better now, but I gave away some real good steaks in the first few months. Hamburger is still 'off' to me, but I had half a beef rib a few nights ago and it was good. Not currently on a steak budget, but I am hoping to try again soon.

Did they add the sauce or was it in a sauce in the can?  Did you check the sugar content?  I will probably be making a Costco trip soon so just wondering.

It is called Harvest Creek Roast Beef in Beef Broth.  They added BBQ sauce to it.  I personally didnt like what they added so I didnt look at the numbers of their sauce.  I figured I would add my own and figure it out then.  But the numbers on the can are as follows:

I agree - Beef, it's what's for dinner!!!  I just can't have the real fatty kinds because it's worse than taking exlax when I eat fat. I LOVE LOVE LOVE ground sirloin, steaks, etc. I couldn't eat steak for prob 6-8 months but then now it's one of my favs. I must admit a couple of changes in taste though - I hate even "lean ground beef", will only buy ground sirloin. I now prefer medium cooked rather than my pre-op "well done". It seems to always be more moist and easier on my pouch.
