I've never understood the age thing.  I get age appropriate, but I also get having fun and loving fashion and playing with it.

Heck, I'm 60 and I'd wear that outfit in a minute if I were taller and thinner.  The thinner I can work on, the taller I think I'm sunk.  I live in jeans when I'm not in my office.   :)

I don't usually post alot, but I just wanted to say you look amazing!!

I love your jeans, and at 41 I also gravitate to the lower-rise jeans with some personality.  Your jeans are definitely something I would wear.

I watch the show as well, and always try on the "dark" wash straight leg jeans in the store thinking they gotta look good on me, but they don't.  After wls, I have extra skin in the tummy area, and a higher rise just doesn't hold in the stomach like the lower rise does.  I also lost my butt in the process, so I like to have some embellishment on the back pockets to detract from my lack of curves back there.

I personally think the other 2 peoples outfits look too boring - and age them a bit.  The "rules" are a great jumping off point, but in the end you have to dress for your own body and not follow them blindly.

 

Thank you so much Trish!  And yes, the butt thing is exactly right!  I don't have one at all and the only jeans that look even close to decent on me are the low rise ones because they have lower back pockets (I also only buy ones that have flap pockets and love them to have some bling!)...I explained this on there yesterday and asked someone to explain specifically want is wrong with my low rise (since I DO NOT have muffin top) and no one commented.  Hmmmmm....

i think you look awesome!  and as i type this i sit here in my low rise......light colored.... boot cut jeans.  and.....yep.....i'm the "fat old bat" at 52 years old.  so.....i think you have awesome taste in clothes!

Thank you Jenni!  Let's just keep rockin' our teenager jeans...if you got it, flaunt it!!  I think a lot of those people are just bitter because they know they could never wear the jeans that are made for "younger" people.  Let them stick with their high waisted mom jeans! lol

Ok NOT taking you apart because I have my OWN sense of style too but the 80's comment I could see that because of the cuffs and lace like Madonna or Prince back in the day...NOW I just have to say I LOVE the shirt and the jeans.  I too LOVE the show BUT you are right the people who go on there NEED the show and you clearly do not.  And what's up with "just" dark jeans that's ridiculous!!
