Jody, I haven't done much this winter either.  Time to get back at it since it is so pretty here.  The only bad thing is the pollen is so bad right now.
We've come too far to go back the other way!!!
I'm so sore today I can hardly move.

Hooray, good for you! That's quite a clip if most of it was walking. Awesome that you got trophies too.

Awesome job!! Lucky you got into the Peachtree. I hear the lottery is getting tougher and tougher.  You'll be great for 6.2 miles. It's just twice a 5K.

Thank you.  I haven't gotten into the Peachtree yet.  We just signed up.  We won't know until the end of March or first of April if we get accepted.

"we are figuring there were only 3 people in our age groups!! "

Hey, it's not your fault those other people didn't bother to show up! LOL

Actually, that's how I got my only podium finish too. I came in first. Out of 1. It was still fun.

I had not thought of it that way-Thanks!!

I love reading about your events.  Maybe one day I'll be jogging/running instead of walking/jogging.

Someone told me if I would work on with weights I might build the strength up in my knees to be able to run more.  Any thoughts on that??

Knee problem have so many causes. But a big cause is imbalances in the other muscles. Like having weak glutes or tight hamstrings. Another factor is running form. Those can be corrected.

Also be sure you have good running shoes that have been fitted by a professional who watches your gait and talks to you about your running issues.
