I'm Home, somewhat lighter
Hello, hello, I've been gone 2 weeks and now I'm back. Hello
I took an impromptu trip up north (Milwaukee) to help my MIL with household projects and now I'm back. It's so good to be home. I missed ya'll. I couldn't do much on-line at her house because she has the slowest internet service (or computer, I don't know which) on earth. Also, part of the reason behind the trip was also to get out from in front of the computer and get myself moving more.
So, I stripped wallpaper, painted the bathroom, patched holes and painted them, cleaned the basement, painted the basement, balanced her checkbook, and a thousand other little tasks. She's still nowhere near ready to put the house on the market. I could have worked another month on the house, but alas, I ran out of time (and patience).
Also, it was so cold there. I am more and more committed to staying SOUTH of the Mason-Dixon line. Honestly, one morning I ran outside doing my c25k training and my hair froze on my head. Today I ran uptown and even though it's "cold" for Charlotte, it was a sunny, breezy, 55 degrees. Glorious.
Being gone from the familiar, and away from my scale, I was curious as to how much my increased activity netted me in weight loss. Well, it wasn't that much different from the pace I was at before I left. I lost about 5 pounds in two weeks. I don't know what I expected, but I thought it would be more. I stuck to my sensible eating plan, except for yesterday on the drive home where I chowed down on horrible road food to keep myself awake. So, I guess, the rate of loss is not significantly influenced by my activities. That said, I'm still going to keep up my exercise program, because it does make me feel good, and I can control it, whereas, I can't control the rate of weight loss.
I'm looking forward to reading all, ya'll's older posts and find out what's been going on.

Sounds like it was a good trip overall. Hope you got to see Tracey before you left.
When I am gone for weekends and am doing what I can but not tracking my food daily, I have figured out I have to just accept whatever I get when I get home. Sometime the same, sometimes loss, but I never can really figure it out. Just makes me more committeed to tracking onces I am back home. At least if I know I have eatten on plan, I don't worry if I am up or down.

If I didn't like you, I'd hate you.
2.5 lbs a week? Whaaaa.....
Here's my weekly weight loss.
pre-surg week 11.0 lbs
post surg wk1 7.0 lbs
wk2 6.0 lbs
wk3 2.0 lbs
wk4 1.5 lbs
wk5 2.0 lbs
wk6 0.5 lbs
wk 7 1.5 lbs
just so if there's anyone else like me, they won't feel like they're abnormal. In the past 5 weeks, I've averaged 1.5 lb loss a week.
And the surgeon said that was a good weigh to lose the wait. Or was it a good way to lose the weight? And the nutritionist told me to ADD 200 calories a day to my food plan. I started looking for a snowball that wasn't melting in the heat.

2.5 lbs a week of fat is a LOT !! if Ure preserving muscle and really losing excess fat .... Ure losing dress sizes like gangbusters at that rate .
I definitely wouldn't be complaining .... Im in like literally a year long stall Cheryl lol . And U know what ? I'm perfectly OK with it . Its nowhere near my goal weight and that gets me concerned and a little PO ed ... but
building fat burning muscle through daily exercise really IS the key to dropping the body's setpoint permanently .
So when I'm ready to concentrate on losing weight I will run and lift weights every day ...and the weight will come off and stay off even when I stop running that much .
Personally I'm just really pleased that I weighed ( exactly the same as always ) ... that my stomach's flat , my arms look strong and my posture's improving ( yay) from all the physical WORK I've been doing. I figure Its just like lifting free weights lol !
