Alzheimers every day! new NSV's

I just got back from shopping for new pants.  I have been to our Goodwill and Salvation Army stores, but the dont seem to carry alot of stuff in smaller sizes.  I assume because those people think they will get back into them someday like I did, so they dont donate them.  Anyway.....I grabbed a 10, but it was TO BIG!!  What??  to BIG???  Wow....   ok....so I grabbed an 8 and then threw a 6 in ( for laughs), and most of the 6's fit!!  OMG.. a size 6??  Really?  Every time I go down a size, I hold up the pants, look at them, and think...there is NO way these are gonna fit me.  But on they go..so weird.  But today was SO Surreal, I think because of the "single digit" thing...So everyday I feel like I have Alzheimers ( and I mean absolutely no disrespect for those who do..).  Just that everyday I hold up the pants, and everyday I think they will NEVER fit me, and everyday, they do.  It is very hard to wrap my head around.  So how long did it take YOU to get your head and your body in sync? Because for me, I think its gonna take a long long time!!                                                              Joan

It does take a long time - but I still think that whenI take my clothes out of the dryer.  Actually, now I'm thinking I shouldn't be trying to fit into them... lol.. I should be in 6's now instead of 4's...

I don't have any advice, being a pre-op, but huge congratulations!!! I can only dream about being a single digit size. Enjoy!!

I'm not to single digits yet but even my 10s, I can't believe I can get into.  I haven't figured it out yet.  But I sure to like it.

I haven't looked past 8 and 10 but my stores seem to have lots of 10s.  I hope that doesn't change.  I just bought new clothes (not from a thrift store), 10p for the first time.  I didn't think I was going to get much smaller but have lost 2 more # since then.

you probably will lose more, I thought I wasnt going to either and just before the surgery I bought an 8, I almost fell out with shock. I cant wear them now because of all the bloating but know soon I will. Hang in there, you WILL see an 8 really soon, we are neck and neck with our weight loss and you are doing absolutely amazing!

i have a hard time wrapping my brain around it too!  i'll take my jeans out of the dryer and think....who's are these?  then i think....oh...they're mine.  but they look so tiny!!!  just can't seem to grasp this new me!

I am back into sweat pants these days but prior to surgery I bought an 8. I still have yet to get used to it and everytime I look in the mirror I still see the fat woman before me. I am hoping this goes away soon, CONGRATS on the 6's, enjoy them!
