I can understand the concern, when/if I receive the approval from ins I might consider telling him why worry in the meantime

On the other hand I have done extreme diets, exercise and all other things in the past and he just looks at me like here we go again.. And I do loose but of course gain it back
For other people like at work know that when I go into these phases I am active and pretty determined
Because of then gerd the food intolerance I was also considering going gluten-free so that is an added plus
As mentioned I don't look as big as I am (live in my spanx and black outfits)
And I wear a size 14 or 12 on a good day and M top
So answer to people is when they see me loose I will tell them it's only a couple of lbs but due to height it looks like more
I carry most of my weight in my bottom half and obviously my arms again people don't notice, when I have mentioned to people that I am obese they look at me like I'm crazy and don't know what I'm talking about, its not that I have not tried but people don't understand how I could go through with something like this
But it's funny how they might get it when I tell them I want plastics (boob reduction or lipo on my legs)
Crazy world we live in and how some things are accepted with out question

Welcome.  Another shortie here.  I'm 4'11" and 62 so I'm the old lady here.  I can't imagine DH not knowing or not wanting to know, but we have been married for 38 yrs and have a very supportive relationship.  I certainly needed him to be supportive and I had no complications.

But everyone journey is there own and you will make the decisions you need to.  Thanks for inviting us to share your journey with you.

Welcome!  This is a wonderful, supportive community with tons of good info.  I hope you like it here.

The decision to tell or not tell your DH is completely your call, my only thought is how will he feel and what will it do to your relationship if/when he finds out?  You will lose quite a bit of weight in the first 3-4 months especially.  It WILL be noticed.

Whatever you decide, best of luck!

Welcome to the LW Board.  Good luck on getting approved and your surgery date.  I also can't imagine not telling my DH.  He was not for my surgery at all in the beginning, but he went with me to a seminar and then to the surgeon's appointment and felt so much better and has been a great support to me.  Atleast you will have your mom's support and help.
Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.
