Know of any surgeons who do the DS for Lightweights?

I would find a doctor who you can relate to, and go in with an open mind.  They have experience with the follow-up for all the surgeries, and can help with your decision.  My doctor listened, and we had a two-way conversation, and chose what was best for my particular situation.   I have pre-diabetes, sleep apnea, etc, and we chose rny because of reflux.

I am wishing you tons of luck. I am about to go through a battle to get my surgeon of choice for my surgery of choice. He generally only does the DS on those with a BMI of 40 or more and Im currently at a 37 but have a few co-morbids that would be resolved and/or nipped in the bud before they get bad if I can have the DS. Keeping my fingers crossed for both of us.

Kahlana-
Let's put our armor on, okay? Oh, and that'll give you a BMI of at least 50!
