Membership drive! If you have a Facebook account and would like to join our little private group, friend me, or one of the vets that chime in here with a link to their FB page. I'll try to add you when I come home for lunch or this evening after work. I'm only going to leave my link up for about 18 hours.

Just a reminder to everyone, please.  I do facebook and am a member of the group but it is not to replace our conversations here.  The questions we ask there sometimes would be nice to be shared here as the solutions may help someone else.  It's a great place for friendly conversation but lets not short the folks who only come here with information.
Off my soapbox now.

Absolutely, Price.

There are some topics or personal info that we share there that some folks don't want to put on a public website that can be Googled and this private group is a good place for that. Many times we can cross post on both OH and FB too to share safe stuff.

Good point, Price...esp since some people do not use FB.

Also some people are very quiet about their surgery on FB so please abide by their wishes as to what is said when not in the private group.

Now another point, if both members are friends that are talking in the PRIVATE group, it will show up in your feed...however, notice there is a lock by the conversation. That means that only the friends who are also members of the group can see those comments, not all your friends/family.

To cut down on the amount of notifications, as soon as you join the group, go to edit settings.

Price,

I just noticed that you changed your ticker. Way to go!!! I always thought that you would get much lower than you had planned. Amazing, isn't it? 120 was my original goal, but my PCP thought that I could get down to 110, so I just kept on, doing what I was doing, and lo and behold, I hit 110 and a bit below at times. Today, I am 109.1, but I am still barely 4'11"

My first goal was 140 and I never thought I would get any lower.  I would be happy just about anywhere now, except I would like a gold apple.  I looked on the BMI site here and it said my ideal weight was 114 so that was what I put.  I'm just happy to be "normal" now.

I know what you mean. My surgeon's goal was 140, but I said that was too high, so we compromised at 130. My real goal was always 120, but my PCP thought I should try for 110. By the time that I reached 120, I wanted that gold apple, so I kept plugging along.

Good luck!! You have done such a fantastic job. I love your menus.
