101 pounds later - reflections and lessons (long!)
Thank you for your wonderful post!!
I love your mantra " "focus on your thoughts, emotions, and behavior - the scale will follow." I think I will borrow it.
I also rejoice in the ability of my body to move. I have also enjoyed a wise and compassionate trainer who has helped me during my journey to become physically fit. I would have lost the weight without her, but I would not be as physically fit as I am right now. She is a gem.

Amy, you always share things that help me. You seem to focus on the internal, which is what I personally need to hear. Thank you for admitting your human-ness, and for reminding me this is progress, not perfection.
A few days ago I rushed up the parking garage stairs to my car --which was on the top deck. I was a bit breathless when I got to my car, and then I realized I had climbed the entire 4 flights without stopping, and in high heels--and pretty fast. And you just put a name to the emotion I felt at that moment of realization-- JOY....
I can always count on you to find the glass half full after I've just drank it half empty.
thanks,
tracey
