I hope that you find the answer to what's bothering you soon.  I agree with Ruthie that you need to be (pleasantly!) assertive with your doctor.  That kind of pain is not normal. 

I'm also surprised, as my doctor talked to me personally after he scoped me.  He came by after I was lucid, and discussed the results, and included what he said on the discharge papers in case I forgot what he said.  You should call and schedule some time to talk with your doc.
