The meanies should be kicked out, maybe from your life. At a time when you need love and support, they are gloating? How can they do that? They are probably jerks all the time and you overlooked it. Now you know. You can cut them loose.

Maria is right, you can sip, rest, and walk to help yourself along. I had issues with nausea for weeks after surgery, thought I would never feel right again. Now I look back and think what a small price to pay for how good I feel now.

I'm sending loving, healing thoughts your way.

oh, sweetie, i am SO sorry you have to go thru this!  it must be hell right now.  i LOVE that our nurses are sticking up for you!  walking was the ONLY thing i could think to do.  i was in such pain.  the gas was horrible, but that kicked the fibro into high gear.  the bed was terrible.  i had every pillow i could find around me, propping this and that, and holding my belly if i was on my side.  my mother called me the princess and the pea.  but, thats the only way i could get semi comfortable while in bed.  so, i walked.

i am swinging all the critters i can find for ya, hon.  keep those nurses on your team, i'm so happy you have them!  it's not just your physical health they are guarding.  and, yet, your emotional, spiritual and physical health are all closely related!

hang in there, hon.  time is a funny thing; it goes by slowly, until you blink.

So sorry that you are having such a rough time! That is awful about your "friends" and or relatives coming to gloat..wow that is so low! Maybe a no vistors policy should be in place? Like everyone else said there is a lot that you can do to aid in your recovery and that is simply to take it hour by hour by walking and sipping and getting better..I hope things start looking up for you asap!!

I'm so sorry you are having to go through this.  I'm glad your nurses are helping you out and not letting these people stay and upset you.
Can they post the No Visitor sign and let you tell them the ones you would allow to visit you?
Hope you are feeling better soon.

HUGS....I'm so sorry you're having a rough time.  I know everyone is telling you that this will be a faded memory later on down the road.  I've had a few bumps lately too and I am just one month post op.  I'm focusing on the future - and as miserable as you are now if you can shift that focus to something positive in the future that might help with the helplessness you feel right now.

Those negative people...pffft.  I know it's easy for us to say ignore them and refuse to see them.  But they are NOT what you need for recovery at all!!!  I've had a few of those since returning to work this week - one of the administrators at school gives me such mean looks because my recovery is slower that some and I'm taking things easier rather than busting my butt doing things I don't need to be doing.  That's ok though...the day will come when I'm healthier, happier, and full of energy.  I can't and I won't let her negativeness bring me down!  I like the idea of a No Visitor sign on your door and only letting those in that TRULY care about you.  Those negative ninnies might get the message!

Hang in there - hang in.  We are here hanging with you!!!
