It's hard to beat "Good morning". Believe it or not, I just got out of bed. Too early. I have my last dr appointment on Fri. Then it goes to the insurance co for approval. Not expecting any problems, but starting to doubt myself. So, I up trying to talk myself back into surgery.

Try not to doubt. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Only you will know if it is right for you.  Your Drs can tell you if you met the criteria, but only you know if you are ready.  It is a life altering experience.

We can tell you what it has meant to us.  I can tell you I have my life back.  I have lost my co-morbidities, get great compliments, feel wonderful, look younger.  I have had no complications at all.  I still have a cast iron tummy, just smaller. Only wish I had done it before my knee was totally shot.

Good luck on your processing.

Its kinda like those few days before you get married.  Gulp! What am I thinking.

Just like a marriage, don't do it if you aren't ready.  If it makes you feel better, I think most of us got cold feet too.

Take a deep breath and make the right choice for you.  My WLS surgery was one of the best things I ever did ... right behind my second marriage...LOL.

Life is a leap of faith!

Nobody can make the decision for you but I can tell you from my own personal experience that it was the absolute BEST gift I've ever given myself.  I never had a doubt in the world that surgery was the right option for me.  I did have 15 minutes of regret the day after surgery and once that passed I never looked back.

I am free:
- from hypertension
- from diabetes
- from chronic low back pain
- from being trapped inside layers of fat

I am free:
- to shop for style rather than "what will hide my fat the best"
- to engage in physical activities I never thought I could
- to be a positive role model for my daughter
- to be myself
- to live a long and healthy life

Good morning Wade and Gina.

That insanity thing relates pretty well to our journeys, huh.  Sometimes we are pretty stubburn about things.  Yesterday, I sliced 3 oz of pork loin for breakfast and then again for lunch.  It was more than I needed for breakfast, but I ate it anyway because it was good.  then I did the whole thing again for lunch.  different result?  Nope, it was still too much and I still ate it anyway.  Have I not learned anything on this journey?????  At least it was healthy and not another plateful of whatever, just a bite too much, but really!!!

So today, I will do better.  I hope.

I'm having the same problem with my protein smoothie.  I love the taste and I need the calories, carbs and protein but I think it is too much for me.  I don't know if I dump on it but I don't feel well for a while after I have it.  I'm going to have to find something else.

Good Morning I am headed to work. Right now I could use the love and support of all my LW family. I am not allowed to go into detail and NO it is not health related, lets just say that the Navy calls
