Long Term Post Ops -- WL after 18 mths

I'm just curious if any long term post ops saw weight loss after 18 mths?  I'm 21 mths post op.  I calculate my food intake daily as well as my exercise and I'm not doing anything different--but the weight is suddenly dropping off again.  This isn't a bad thing but I'm wondering if this is common and whether or not I will see as much as another 5-10 lbs drop off?  I definitely don't want to lose more than another 10 lbs so I'm a little concerned.

I bounced up and then came back to within 5 pounds of goal and this was in the 2nd and 3d year. You might get another 10 pounds if you keep working at it.

I've lost between 2 and 7 pounds since month 16.  Around 3 has stayed off and I bounce up and down the other 3-4 pounds.

I have really added lots of exercise and have added another protein drink most nights and still no more weight loss.  I'm ok where I am, but would like to go about 5-8 lower just to have more bounce back room.

When U are working out intensively  its very normal to see the scale stay the same .  But U are losing  nonetheless  ..because Ur body  is INCREASING   forever  calorie -burning  muscle mass  and decreasing  voluminous  and unattractive and  largely INERT  fat  mass .

you can double check that this process is indeed happening by taking Ur measurments .. ortrying on clothes .  U will probably find that U are significantly SMALLER though U weigh the same  ...

now when U  STOP  working out intensively is when usually  the scale drops to a (  permanent)  new  lowersetpoint  ...   .  This  isn't a delusion of a new  setpoint  ... like after a diet  when Uve REALLY   starved Urselfdown only to set Ur setpoint even a few lbs HIGHER  than when U started  ...

this is  the REAL thing .  Ur body will want to stay here  and unless U dramatically overeat ...   it WILL  from now on.

EXERCISE  WORKS !!

I too am a year and a half out. I have only lost 12 lbs in the last 6 mo. I too want to lose another 10 lbs.  I have had injuries that prohibit me from exercising. however, just cleared again to begin working out.  I feel that is key to weight lose. I can maintain without  it but need it to lose.   I feel I can get another 10 pounds if I really try and that is going back to basics.  You too can do it.  Good luck.

I gain 3-5 pounds every winter and lose it every spring.

You  may not think you are doing anything differently but I noticed when I was wearing the Body Media Fit all the time that little things can make a difference of 100-200 calories a day. I'm talking about things like calling into meetings instead of walking across the street to them and eating at my desk vs. walking to the cafeteria.
