Initial Goal Reached!
My scale told me I am 135 lbs as of this morning.
At my very first surgical consult, the doctor asked me what my goal for weight loss was. Strangely I had not really thought about an actual number so I just blurted out 135 lbs because I didn't know what a realistic goal was for me. He told me he felt I could achieve that with the sleeve. Later I realized that 135 lbs still has me as overweight on the BMI charts, and that 120 lbs might be better.
Still I can't believe I'm at 135. I've never been at that in my whole adult life. I feel fabulous, shopping for clothes is pretty easy (except I'm a cheapskate), and I'm so comfortable in my own skin.
I would do it all over again in a heartbeat, and I almost want to proselytize WLS to the whole world. Thanks for your support along the way.
Let's hope the last 15 go smoothly.
