One year anniversary

I had my one year check up last week. I have been hard on myself because I didn't make goal in one year. The office was incredibly pleased for me.

They said most people lose ony 65-75% of their excess weight . They are happy if the person makes it to overweight and that normal BMI is really successful.

I am enjoying today. Thankful and reflecting on how far I have come in my first year.

You have done awesome! I have a f/up appt on monday with my surgeon and I am wondering what he will say about my slow weight loss. I am weighing tomorrow; I stayed off the scale for 6 weeks (had to put the scale in the garage to accomplish this...lol). I know I have lost some due to how my clothes fit....we will see. Congrats though on your losses thus far.....you are almost to GOAL!!!

Zach and I stopped by to visit you on our way to the napa film festival. I took him to The Girl and The Fig for a kickoff lunch. I was sorry that you weren't at work!

Sounds like a good checkup. One thing I've learned from this site is that this journey isn't over at 1 year out. We'll still have challenges and victories. Goal is still achievable.
