Hi Roz,
I had my whole post written and it disappeared. I know your DD is glad she has someone to help her out.
I've never made Ham & Bean Soup. Is it easy? Do you used pre-cooked ham or do you cook it first? I'll have to check it out.
We got out of play practice early today. We have practice every night next week. The big play/fundraiser is next weekend. I'll be glad when it is over - I'm already so tired...
Here's the plan for today:
B: Protein Decaf coffee
S: Decaf Coffee
S; Lemon Tea Protein Drink
L: Swiss Steak w/ onions & peppers - it is now all gone.
S: Lemon Tea Protein Drink
S: Couple of cookies
D: Chicken Parmasean, cheesy cauliflower
S: Protein Decaf Coffee
Vitamins: Morning & Afternoon Done
Water/Fluids: 105 ozs so far
Miles: None

I'm not much of a cook so it must be easy....LOL It does take some time though. I go to the butcher shop and buy ham hocks. I usually cook them to get flavored broth. Soak the navy beans as directed on the package and then cook all night in my crock pot. We like our salty so I will probably be swelled tomorrow.
What play are you doing? My oldest GD loves doing plays. We went to a couple she was in over Christmas and it's the first time I heard her sing a solo. She has a beautiful voice. We got her and DD theater tickets to see Ruthless for part of her gifts. . It's at a dinner theater and we got the front center table. She is so excited.
I love anything cooked with onions and peppers but DH won't eat anything that an onion even touchs. I use to cook mine in a separate pan but since I eat such a small piece now it isn't worth it.
Good Menu!

I'll have to try the Ham & Bean Soup. Sounds good. I'm always looking for something different.
A local retired English teacher actually writes the play for us each year. They are mostly comedys. It is being dedicated this year to a girl that was always in it and she was killed in a car wreck this last year -so it is going to be alot more emotional than it usually is. We have a dinner/play on Saturday night - it is the big event. Friday night we have snacks and wine and it is more like a girls night out(or guys night out). Sunday they tone it down some because it is for all ages.
I hope your granddaughter enjoys the dinner theatre. None of our actors are professional so it is pretty funny!!
I love onions and peppers and so does my DH. DH didn't even try the swiss steak, he makes me so mad sometimes. There was nothing strange in it. He thinks some of the stuff I fix has weird things in it just because I try new recipes.....he would have liked it if he would have tried it.

It's going to be an off day. I slept in and then my daughter called so my dinner plans changed. Plus, I have been trying to eat a little more and I think I pushed it tonight. I ate 4 sausage links, an egg over medium with hollandaise sauce and a few bites of fruit and hash browns and that was an hour ago and I still fell stuffed and nauseaus. I don't know if I will be able to eat any more tonight. I had my double protein decaf for breakfast and that is all for the day.
