Do you know what makes a steak really tasty? (imo)  A knorr stock cube and olive oil!  Hubby got the hump because his family is famous for their grilled steak but DS now wants me to pan-fry his steak with the stock cube whenever it's on the menu.  I picked this tip up in the UK when I went back for a visit a couple of years ago.

You get a tsp of olive oil and the cube and mash the cube in the oil.  Rub it over both sides of steak and grill or pan fry.  Really beefy and tasty although it may not be good for folk who have to watch their sodium, but I figure as we don't eat big steaks anymore, it should be fine.

Thanks...sounds like something my DSIL would love. I like some flavoring cooked in mine too so I might give that a try.  In the summer our local store marinates steaks and kabobs and I love those and they are easier to get down.

Protein Smoothie (yogurt, fruit and jay robb powder)

2 pieces of bacon with 1 slice of flax bread and lite spread
2 coffees

Mio drink

1/2 can tuna
1/2 T lite mayo
celery sticks

earl grey tea

570 cals  41g Pro, 40g Carb, 15g Fat

Protein drink tonight should add 145 cals and 25g protein to those totals.

That's so far.  Don't know what I'm doing for dinner and I intend to have a protein drink around 9pm to see if it gets me out of thinking about snacking crap. Guess I'll aim for about 300 or so calories mostly from protein.

Miles: 20 mins of cardio at home (very boring) going to try something else.  Going to Gym later tonight hopefully with the hubs.

Update:  dinner decided thanks to Price.  It will be Tilapia and cabbage.

My only New Years Resolution was to lose weight and get healthier!  So far it is working out just fine.  My husband said that was cheating because I had surgery.  I disagreed.  I just found a better method!  Its worked better than WW, Atkins, South Beach..........

B:  corned beef hash 2 oz. 5 g protein
S:  Unjury chocolate splendor 35 g
L:  I took a nap and missed it
S:  Unjury chicken soup 35 g
D:  ??
S:   Laughing cow cheese and Colby cheese stick. 7 g
D:  SF vanilla pudding. 1 g

Water 80 oz is my goal. Vitamins. Still struggling to get 3 calciums in! But great on everything else.

Miles:  maybe tomorrow or more likely next week.

I like your answer!!!   My DH was not crazy about me having surgery because he feared something happening but he seen some of our cheer Mom's who had it and saw how great they looked and felt so he gave in.

I think all of the support, ideas, and advice that I got on here made it easy for me so I guess in a way your DH  might be right about some of us.  By the way...most of those cheer mom's have gained back a good portion on their weight.

Glad to see you are resting!!

Good Menu!
