Awesome NSV!

I still have moments that I just cant believe how my life has changed for the better.

Today here in cloudy cold northeast Ohio, Buddy Love ( my trusty yellow lab) and I went to the park and walked/jogged our hearts out! He chased some deer, but I declined! lol I also passed on the romp through the river too.

I would have never ventured out in 34 degree weather to walk/jog 4 miles in my presurgery life. I feel more alive than I have in a long time. To feel the cold air on my face, watching the squirrels run around and even saw a few robins already, I hope spring is coming soon!

I guess I am just so grateful to be in this body that I hated for so long.

Great NSV Maria.  I am also so thankful for the changes in things I can and love doing now that I would never have been able to do before surgery.

Sounds like you and Buddy had a great time out today.

NSV= non scale victory

It takes a while to get the lingo down! lol

I am just afraid that as I get farther away from surgery, I will forget to be grateful for the strong healthy body that I have now.

Thanks LW's!

I love these posts as this is really what WLS is all about. It can be a gift and you said it so perfectly.

Blessings to you and your puppy!!!

Thanks for posting this. I need reminders from time to time to look at how far I have come. I forget sometimes what things were like before surgery. I even forget what I looked like, not just what I felt like. I think when I forgot is when I began to lose my weigh. Glad I came back to be reminded.

That's inspirational. I only jog in the gym, but you've got me thinking I should shake it up a bit.
