Rethinking my goal

I remember thinking the same thing when I was 140.  My body didn't really look that bad, not to saggy, baggy.  I could have lived with it.  I am all over the board on ideal weight for myself.  For one, anything under 150 and I feel that I look normal.  For some reason, when I am over 150 I feel that I look overweight and as soon as I am under 150 I look like I am just normal.  I can live with that.
At 135 I have always felt my best, healthy and height/weight appropriate.  In the past I have maintained at about 120 and looked good but I was being told I looked too thin.
And none of that mattered because whenever I got to a weight that I thought I would be happy to settle at it kept going lower.  I got to a weight I never remember being in my life.  I just have been that at some point but it was before I was a teen and probably only for a second or two as I was rapidly gaining.  It actually took some work for me to gain some weight.
Now I am still at a very low weight but I'm not getting the negative feedback I had been.  Either people are used to seeing me at this weight or I am filling out some.  I still hear that I look too thin but no one has asked me if I am sick for a while so that is good.  I have stopped trying to gain weight since I know I am heading for the prime bounce back time.
I am just eating in a healthy way and letting my body know where it wants to be.

If you are 5'2" and 150 and your BMI is 29 you need to lose more...just sayin'
In a loving but firm way. Denial is a river in egypt. When you get older if you don't lose more
it will all sag anyhow....excercise and lift weights and you will look fine. Your friends will tell you
you look fine...but don't listen. Especially if you have not been thin in a long time or ever you
don't know what it feels like or remmember...trust your doctor and your weight and BMI.
I am 5'8" and 145 and not too thin...by any stretch of the imagination...I'm 52. And my skin bounced back...like a 52 year old's LOL...but really....I will tell it like it is.
Now you may look fine...you may feel good in your body...but you still need to lose more.
That's my two cents...I don't want to create controversy or anger anyone you know that. I support anyone at any weight.. we should love our bodies as they are. BUT if we are given a chance to REALLY get to a healthy....lean...goal...as we are with this surgery...and the window is SMALL...our bodies fight us...but with this tool we can actually achieve this goal...then there is no reason not to go ALL the way...You will be thankful in the end and healthier...just keep working your tool.
Best wishes always...SEAVIEW

I was going to be happy at 146 but when I got there I kept losing.  My surgeon told me not to worry and that my body would stop when it got ready.  I went down as low as 119....looked awful.  I have leveled off at about125-126.  I am still too think but have plenty of room for bounceback.  PC doc said he would be happy anywhere between 130 and 140.  I am 61 and don't want to look like an old hag.

Walterswife,
Wow you are so small, what was your hubbies reaction? Mine is griping about me losing my curves. I'm also 5'5 right now 129-131 but still losing and not a yr out yet. I may lose more but I am ok here. It just blows my mind to get in size 2's.

I had people trying to stop me from losing when I was around 170! Sorry but I did not have WLS to end up still medically overweight. If I could get to 125 and keep my bum from going flat then I would!

You know, my hubby missed the very large breasts when I lost weight, but the attention I got from other men made him rethink his sadness.  Now he's proud of my shape, and admits he likes my curves the way they are now.

As far as the flat bum - mine's getting rounder again!  Still flatter than I'd like, almost wish I'd had some fat to stick in there when I had the LBL, but I'm getting a curve!
