Good Morning. Mother Nature's hot flashes

Dang! Is she getting old or what? Just a reminder to stay hydrated 'cause we have less surface area to absorb water. Another idea, which I use on my hubby when he goes out in this heat to play golf, is extra magnesium citrate and potassium...over-the-counter strength, nothing scary. Also, I understand there is a sugar free Gator Aid, "G2", I believe. Another good one is sugar free lemon or lime water made with fresh squeezed lemons or limes and Splenda or Truvia. Anyone got some other tried and true hydrators?

Y'all have a good one and stay cool.

I just usually put a lot of ice in my water & crystal lite.

It does not feel as bad outside today here as it did last week.  Last week was tough, it was like there was no air to breath.  It is humid today, but not nearly as bad.

Praying for no humidity and lower temps for the Peachtree Road Race tomorrow morning!!  I'm so excited.  DH is about to have a fit - he doesn't want me to do it in the heat, but it is not as hot as it was last year and I've really prepared better for it this year.  I told him I know when to stop running and start walking and I've been doing that lately when it is too hot.

Hope everyone has a great day.  I'm only working 1/2 day today - yeah!!

Mikimi,
We grew up close to each other.  I grew up in Rome, GA but now live in Southwest Georgia in a very small town.

I make lemonade (with splenda) from lemon juice...my hands hurt too bad to squeeze my own.

I also pulverize frozen strawberries in mine sometimes. Makes a nice change.

The last time Mother Nature had hot flashes this bad was back in the 1930's!!!
