Hi everybody :-)
Sorry you guys didnt hear from me in a while but I was very busy.. Today I got the mail I was waiting for my letter from Tricare Managment about my appeal and I am approved :-)
I cant tell you how happy I am. But first I wanna tell you the story behind this because i still have to pick a bone withe Humana Milittary.
My reviwer for this case told me he will have an answer for me mid June. End of June i still didnr have any letter so I called Tricare to see if they can tell me what was going on.
They told me I was still denied and I didnt understand why but i thought it was not meant to be.
I was waiting to get the letter to see why they denied me. After 2 weeks and still no letter I called Tricare again and asked whats going on. They told me they normally dont send another letter out because its still denied and i requested one. Today I checked the mail and the letter was there. So I was reading troughto figure out why they denied me again and i couldnt belive my eyes so I asked my husband to check it and he sais YES you are APPROVED!!!!
I am really excited but mad as well. If i didnt call tricare for the letter I would still belive I was denied!!!

Anyway the bad thing is we are moving in 1 month to our new duty station. Fort Jackson Sout Carolina ao I wont be able to go to my doctor i choosed here.
Do you guys know a good Doctor in South carolina Columbia??

Congratulations!!

I haven't heard any names of surgeons in Columbia but Atlanta, GA and Durham, NC I have. Whatever you do make sure you research the surgeon and talk to his/her patients before you jump into their program.

I was just hoping maybe someone from here has had surgery in Columbia :-)

Congratulations! Always frustrating when the "other side" isn't communicating with you.

Go to the top of the page in the green portion to: Find a Bariatric Surgeon - there's several in the Columbia SC area. You can probably go from there and do some research.

You may also want to post on the South Carolina board and ask for opinions on Dr's in that area too.

Congratulations on getting approved for your surgery. My surgeon is in Rome, GA. It was 4 hours from where I live and I see it would be over 4 hours for you to there. I had an excellent surgeon. If you are interested in traveling that far, just let me know if you have any questions about them.
