What did you lose your first month?

I'm exactly one week out and finally feeling pretty good! I've lost 8.6 lbs since checking into the hospital. Just curious... What did you all lose your first month? I started at 188 so I know it'll be a little slower.

Congrats on your first week. Sounds like you are doing great. I don't remember how much I lost the first week or month. I know I was losing almost a pound a day for a very short time. But don't get in the habit of comparing yourself to others. We all lose at our own rate and fast or slow, it gets us there in the end.

Between preop and two weeks post op I have lost 20 lbs and I am a shorty. I know many people that lost much more but I feel very good about that. I figure if I am losing then I am heading the right direction.

I am trying to set several non-weight related goals to keep my focus off the scale.

Awesome! Looks like I'm a week after you. I go back to work about 3 weeks post-op, and my Dr. thinks I should lose about 20 by then, which would be amazing.

Since your surgery date is so close to mine, has it been easier to drink your fluids lately? I'm hoping it gets easier...

I tried to not weigh often. I checked my records, and I did not have a 1 month post op weight. I lost around 34 pouns at the 2 month mark - I think that is correct. That is from my surgery date and not from my pre-op liquid diet date. Congrats on your success.
