Still here (Hurricane Sandy update)

So far so good. . . .we still have power, though it has flickered a few times.  

Over 87,000 people in DE are without power right now so we are very lucky!  It's still raining, still windy, and apparently Sandy's eye is just "sitting" over top of us until tomorrow afternoon when we will get the backside of the storm.  

My house has a leak in the roof, which is no big deal right now, as long as the wind doesn't rip the shingles off we should just be able to have it caulked and re-tacked down.  Keeping fingers crossed!

The Christiana River has not breached the banks yet, though it is very close and the other end of our neighborhood is flooding out from the river (we are on the elevated end of the street).  High tide is at 1:00 am and that is what we are worried about. . . .guess we will see how it goes. . .nothing we can do about it so still hoping for the best!

Thank you!  We made out well and it looks like the worst is over, yay!

Yup, we are dry and have power. . . I am actually supposed to be working (from home) as I type this (shhhhhh, it's just a short break lol). . . .I appreciate all of the swinging of the critters, I think they helped!!!!!!
