Good Morning. Do we want to do a vitamin roll call?

Probably not but I can't think of anything noncontroversial to say this morning.

Vitamins are going good. I'm currently trying the latest tweaks my dietitian and I came up with since my last labs. I'm taking several things only 5 days a week or every other day. A couple of things I've stopped all together. Apparently, once we get our levels up and just a tad high, you can and should cut back. That's why the all-in-one bariatric vitamins scare me so. You can't tweak for your individual needs.

I'll do a post tonight about my recent appts and labs (2 yrs out) but I can say that for now, they have taken me off B12.  I had my surgeon appt Monday and see my PCP today.  More to come.

Still cold and rainy here.  PCP this morning, then the vet to see Chili, the muscle pump this evening.  Another busy day.

Going off of B12 entirely scares me, Price.

They think I am getting enough from my multi but I thought we couldn't absorb that.  I'm absorbing something because mine has been around 2000 for months and I have been doing 500mcg about 2x a week.  ?????  I figure I will keep popping one every so often.  ????

Every so often sounds about right. I'm sure they'll keep checking it for you. Up and over 1000 is a good thing. Don't let them scare you.

I have a cold...a whopper of a cold. Partly because I've been around thousands more people than I normally am at any one time.

We weren't that busy yesterday in terms of numbers...only about 400 compared to over 2100 average daily during early voting. But early voting was county wide...yesterday everyone had to vote IN their precinct. Good thing I worked early election as we had about 50-100 who had address changes, etc and had extra paperwork to fill out. I knew what blocks to fill in so the person in charge at our precinct only had to sign it and file it.

As to my vitamins...we'll know in a couple of months how they are doing. I get my next set of labs just after the first of the year.

Hi Gina,

I am actually taking my vitamins.  Even though they said I could stop the Dry D, I cut back to 3 times a week.  I also did that with the B complex because it was also high, but I didn't want to stop completely and then it be low next time.

My B12 has been over 1800 for the last two years, but no one has said that high would be a problem.  I just keep doing mine every day.  What do you think?

Hope everyone has a great day today.  I have to travel tomorrow.  Hope I can stay awake!!

Keep having them check your vitamin B's. I've had to completely stop my B-complex and only take vitamin B1 3 times a week. B12 at 5000mcg 3 times a week too. B's are funny.

1800 for B12 is awesome, I wouldn't change a thing.

first day in about 2-3 weeks that I have totally forgotten to take any vits all day. going to start on them now and see if I can catch up by bedtime.

yeah, vits ought to be a pretty safe topic as long as someone doesn't post about their flintstones, lol
