Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period!!!!!
The first thing I said to DH this morning was....IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!! I just went to pick up some Wendy's Chili for myself and some of the other ladies at work and WOW the traffic!! Nothing like a big city gets but a lot for our little town.
Are you ready for Thanksgiving? I haven't even bought my turkey yet. The grocery store is going to be a nightmare tomorrow morning.

We are going to a friends for T day and I don't have my food assignment yet. I will have DS home for several more days and that will take some additional food and planning.
DH has a followup with his PCP this afternoon and he is hoping he can go back to driving. That will certainly lighten my schedule. My eye continues to improve. It really has been easy except for all the drops and keeping track of that. I took a walk with the dogs this morning after it warmed up a little. That is the only approved exercise so I'm going to try for one everyday.

I'm glad to hear your eye is improving and your not having any complications. It's always amazes me things that Drs. are able to do now.
How is your DH's hand doing? Have there been any other symptoms? I guess not if he is planning on being able to drive soon.
Sounds Good Price!

The eye is truely amazing.
DH is better and getting some movement in his hand but no strength. We went to PT today and they still won't approve him to drive. Maybe when he goes next week if he continues to improve. Otherwise, he is doing ok and started walking again, short distances. For a while he was just sitting and that was depressing to both of us.

I'm glad there is some improvement.
It doesn't take much to depress my DH anymore. He would drive me crazy if he couldn't drive. He doesn't like getting old and not being able to do things like he used to.

I’ve got grocery shopping tonight, it’s not so bad on Friday nights cuz everyone’s out spending money on things they want to, whereas mine is going to things I have to buy, and they aren’t found in bars, clubs, or the track! So my son and I have a couple stores to hit before we get home tonight.
We’re doing Thanksgiving at my house this year, MIL is coming over, my brother was invited but hasn’t gotten back to me (no, I’m not going to feign shock).
In other news I have a new nephew/cousin! Not some freaky WV relations title, just that my cousin David is more like a brother to me than my actual ones and we grew up as close as siblings, still are to this day. Welcome to the world David Michael Linwood Jones!! (Linwood is a family name, my dad, our granddad have/had it for first names and I gave it to my son as a middle name).
Okay enough about my good news, on to the food!
Breakfast: Whole Grain Sandwich Skinny with juice sweetened Apple Butter
2nd Breakfast: South Beach Chocolate Fiber Bar
Lunch: Sea Salt Soy Chips, Colby Cheese, Ground Turkey (more nachos)
Snack: Extend Drizzles: Chocolate, 1/4oz raw almonds
Protein: Syntrax Naturals, Peach
Dinner: Denny’s cranberry apple chicken salad with ranch, all chicken half everything else (will make buffalo shrimp to top the other half tomorrow)
Protein: Syntrax Naturals, Fruit Punch
Same vitamins as usual, only added a lemon calcet bite, I found one randomly in my vitamin stash.
Totals: 1192 Calories, 45gm Fat, 95gm Carbs, 28gm Fiber, 21gm Sugar, 110gm Protein
Lots of walking tonight, have 3 or 4 stores I plan to visit while chasing a 3 almost 4 year old who is too independent to be in the cart, and even if I get him in one, we inevitably get stuck with the one with a broken safety belt. Sigh.
Happy Friday!!!
Congrats on the new addition to your family! I grew up on Linwood Drive. I've never thought of it but I like that name. My DGD's name is Taylor and she gets her picture taken by signs that say Taylor. She is getting a pretty big collection.
I like cooking for Thanksgiving because I get to keep all of the leftovers!
Our two 4 yr. olds are pretty good about staying in the cart. My DD's have realized that you can't give in even a single time or you have to start the whole training/whining process again.
Good Menu!

Not ready. Haven't bought my turkey yet either. My son and his family will be here. Can't wait to get my hands on my grandson--such a cutie.
B: protein coffee X 2// peanut butter on rye toast
L: greek yogurt with fruit//leftover burrito bowl mix
S: apple
D: Dont know--picking DH up at airport and going out
Aren't grandkids the best!!!! I just love our 9 month old to pieces! He pushes his face as close as he can get lots of kisses. The older ones are too busy to cuddle but I'm the go to person if they need something...haha....from wiping the two 4 yr. olds butts to buying makeup for the 13 yr. old.
I went to the grocery store Friday evening after work and the store wasn't too busy so I called DH and told him I wasn't going to home for awhile. I'm so glad I had my list with me.
Sounds Good!
