20 Minute Mile
I am still working on a surgery date... and I am still 100 lbs over my goal...I finally achieved a 1 mile walk in 20 minutes....I did this yesterday 11/18/12..then backed it up by doing it again this AM 11/19/12. I am so proud of myself...
I am non-stop on this journey...BTW down 12 lbs since 30 Oct 12.
Good for you. Sometimes the wait seems to take forever but your time will come. In the mean while, stop the white carbs, caffien and sodas and you will be in great shape when you get a date. Your exercise is great. That will help a bunch after surgery too.

Thanks for the help...I will have to work on the white carbs...I don't drink soda...but I do have a cup of Joe every morning...and I quit the Iced Tea as well...put in plain water instead. I think the Slim-Fast shakes are the carb killers...I am working on switching over to homemade protein shakes...I tried Unjury...it is ok...but they all seem so sweet to me...
Sounds like you're doing great - and all the right things to get ready. Walking now and building up your stamina will pay off hugely after surgery.
Congrats!

Thanks Jody...I am counting on it. I feel so much better now that I am moving...not so much like a slug.
Thanks for your support Jennifer...I have dreams of playing in an over-the-hill league for both softball and volleyball again. I have some friends here locally that play...and I so loved it in my youth...
