How many calories do you eat a day?
I'm guessing you are using myfitnesspal? it yells at everyone for being under 1200 calories.
Your calorie level is entirely dependent on you, a good rule of thumb is take the weight you want to maintain and add a zero to the end of it, there's your calories. I maintain a 40/30/30 balance in protein/carb/fat or close as i can, i think that is typical post WLS.
That said, try it and see what your scale does, if after two weeks you are losing weight and don't want to, add another 100-200 calories and re-assess. If you are gaining weight and don't want to, take out 100 calories. and tweak from there. but give it two weeks before changing and please do it gradually, no knee jerk reactions to the scale sassing you.
If you are maintaining where you want to be already, then do what i do and ignore MFP when it tells you that you aren't eating enough. You're taking your vitamins and making good food choices, right?
Someone really needs to make a more friendly bariatric fitness pal type program...
Just my two cents, hope it helps
the tracker on this site doesn't fuss at you. I used it the whole time I was in losing mode.

you're right it doesn't, i used it during my loss phase too, i switched over cuz the other one has more in their database and recipes are easier to create and the guidelines are nice, but everyone has their own preferences. i laugh at the "youre eating too few calories" reminder when i submit at the end of the day :)
I've never counted calories. I get 120 grams of protein from shakes/coffees and aim for 70 grams of carbs or less.

I haven't actually tracked in a while but I was around 1200-1400 when I had a good exercise routine going. Now I just try to keep my protein up and my carbs down.

I don't figure mine out often. But I pretty much eat the same things all of the time so I'm somewhere around 1300 calories and 135 grams of Protein from drinks. I'm pretty strict with "bad" carbs. Carbs.
When I don't eat much my scales seem to go up.
