Well today is 6 months for me, I have went from 184-186 down to 140-143. As you all know I've been here at this weight since December. The surgeon keeps telling me 1100-1200 calories.  Reading everything on OH I've been eating 600-800-900, and not moving down so maybe I need to try their advice and move up my calories. I know some people have stalled for 5 months and that helps hold my hopes, I also hear there really is not a honey moon period for VSG. I kinda feel swamped with info , confused , and don't know what to do anymore. Seems no matter what I try this is where I'm at. My surgeon did say 137-140 would probably be it for me. Perhaps he's right? I don't know. I'm just rambling in confusion on what to do to get to 130-135. Well hopefully Sunday I can Report 140 on the Sunday weigh in .

I don't remember the stats with VGSbut I'm thinking it is 60% of excess weight and that may be about where you are.  the "honeymoon" for RNY and DS is when the malabsorption starts ending and you are absorbing the calories you are eating.  With the sleeve you don't have malabsorption so maybe you don't have a honeymoon.

Maybe Lee will check in.  She was the most determined, slowest loser I know but she hung in there and finally got where she wanted to be.  Not sure how long it took her but she just kept on keeping on and did it.

If you are doing the 100+protein, 30 or less net carbs, 100oz of fluid and it isn't working, I don't know.  Have you tried upping your calories for a couple of days?  I would think 600 really is low, you should be somewhere around 800-1000 at this point. The positive is that, well, what else are you going to do but keep on keeping on.  I really believe if you keep on, you will get there.

Yes, if I did the math right I have lost 70 percent of my excess weight.  So if it is done , how so I continue the weight loss??

Happy 6 Months!!  Congratulations on the amount you have lost.

I would try to up your calories for a while and then maybe drop them down again after a few days.  Are you doing any exercise?  If you are exercising and staying at 600-900 calories you might need to up your calories for good.

Hope you can report something good on Sunday!!

I do water aerobics an hour 3-4 times a week. But that's only 200 calories burned , well thats what the Internet says . Maybe it burns more? I've put in my fitness pal 1000 calories my carbs are below 40. My yogurt , light cheese , almonds , and brocvoli have my carbs at about 37.
