I used my Magic Bullet a lot at first.  Now I use it for Frozen Protein Drinks.

Scales, I got mine at Walmart.  You can put your bowl on there and zero it out and then add your food - sounds like the same kind Lin has.

Blender bottles, I have the large ones and the small ones.  I got mine at GNC and a couple free when ordering protein.  I also have a little hand held mixer that cost about $8.00 from Bariatric Choice.  It runs on batteries and I use it in my protein drinks sometimes.  It doesn't seem to make as much foam as the wire balls do.

You need something to record your meals on so you can keep up with what and how much you are eating - some type of Food diary.  There are lots of different kinds on line that are free.  You might want to start looking now so you can decide which you like best.  Of course there is always the hand written diary you can record it on - that is what I used for about the first 6 months.

Good luck.

Linda

Thanks Linda...I figured I would need the Magic Bullet to get thru the liquid and the puree stages...then for drinks after that...I love smoothies...so I think I will do fine with the protein shakes...as long as I can hang with the "possible" taste changes.. I will cross that bridge when I get there...I am really good at following the rules...so like taking medicine that is yucky...I can do anything for a short period, till I find something that works for me.

Right now I am faithfully using MyFitnessPal.com to log ALL of my intake...it has really kept me honest enough to lose the required 20 lbs for insurance submission.  I also use it to track my exercise...

I can't live without my digital scale (I weigh EVERYTHING!  LOL) and my Vitamix.

One more thing about a scale - mine is a postal scale, it was cheaper than the food scales when I purchased it about 8 years ago. Mine also lets you zero out the container's weight so you get an accurate reading of the food.

Thanks, Diana

I bought two sets of teflon lined  Paula Deen  cookware from Walmart on sale .  I never have to use butter or oil or fat  to sautee or make anything (  at the most i use a bit  of spray Pam ) and since i use  nonscratching wooden or plastic  spatulas theyll last virtually forever .
