Congrats to all the newbies...

Dh is coming up on his two year surgivesary soon...on the 16th. Can't believe it's been almost 2 years now. He's been at a stable weight for well over a year...only +/- a couple of lbs month to month.

Today, Miss Izzy has a vet trip, she needs her rabies shot.

Good luck to everyone that has recently had surgery or getting ready for surgery.  It is such an exciting time and so life changing.

We need more new people to post on here.  I hate to see them drop off the board.

I'm new!  I'm new!  (Waving hand in the air!)  I'm so excited to have found this board - I've been on the RNY board and found some wonderful folks over there and I happened to see a link to the Lightweights Board so I thought I'd take a trip over here and meet you all.  My surgery is set for December 20, and I'm on day 7 of the liquid protein diet.  I'm close to starving, but with good luck I'll make it to the surgery.  HA!  My all-time high weight was 222 but I lost some weight on the 6-month diet (about 10).  I gained a couple, and when my surgery was scheduled I was at 215.  Right now I'm at 208.  My goal is 150.

A big goal of my surgery is to get rid of my diabetes.  I use Metformin, Novolog, and Lantus insulin but thanks to the high protein diet I don't use much Novolog at all anymore.  I hope to be off everything after the surgery.  The weight loss will be a bonus -

Good luck to all of us on our journeys!

Good luck to you.  I remember the pre-op liquid diet, it was pretty brutal!!  Sounds like you are doing good already.

I was just on metformin and haven't taken any since the day of surgery.
