Good Morning. Biting off more than you can chew

How many of you are guilty of biting off more than you can chew?

****
I tend towards the control freak personality at work, if there is such a thing as a CF personality. Have any of you taken the Myers-Briggs test? I'm an INFP and only 1% of the population tests out like that. I'm introverted, intuitive, feeling and perceiving. Sounds like my grandmother instincts were taking the test that day.

I tend to want to nurture and take care of people. Go figure!  I had a boss one time tell me I wasn't like a mother hen, I was more like a tigress looking after her cubs.  So I guess the profile is pretty spot on. We got to pick our teams yesterday and I ended up with more than my fair share of new folks and women. I doubt I can control them but I will always take their side and try to protect them. I maintain the historical knowledge base for the team but have some that I will lean on for their knowledge of particularly complex and new developments.

This has been an interesting week. I successfully stood up in front of over 40 people and taught my subject for nearly 4 hours straight and only lost a handful to boredom. lol  Anyway, I may have bitten off more than I can chew, so y'all swing some lizards for me.

I haven't done Myers-Briggs in years but I remember thinking mine was pretty accurate.  You will do fine with your team.

I have my son's Christmas party at the workshop, a friend coming up from SC to pick up a cart then the vet coming to see the ponies.  Busy day.

Last time dh and I did Myers Briggs testing (he did his thru work and I ran the test thru the copy machine and took it myself), we both came up INTJ (only about 2% of the population) and his youngest was the exact polar opposite. How we managed to survive raising an ESFP, I have no clue but we survived!

You are doing good...and it shows that you can step out of your norm and be flexible...something needed these days.

Good luck.

Congratulations on your presentation.

I like to take on everyone's duties and then end up miserable because there are not enough hours in the day to do all the work.  I've really worked on getting rid of duties the last year, but then took on the other libraries accounting....(atleast it is more money).

DGD's are coming to spend the night tonight and we are going to have breakfast with Santa in the morning - should be a fun weekend!

It has been years since I've taken the Meyers-Briggs test - all I remember is I was an extrovert.  Perhaps it's time to take it again...

congrats on getting up in front of others - I knew you'd do well.  It sounds like your position is changing - which isn't always bad.

I had been feeling much better then I had been so I decided to tackle the housework since my lazy ass daughter can't be bothered and the housecleaning fairy skipped my house.

I really got into it and I was proud of the job I did but boy have I paid for it.  I hurt like hell for the last 2 days.  I had to take 3 pain pills yesterday and I have never had to take that many unless I had surgery.  I only took one today but it still hurts.  I told my daughter I was never cleaning the house again.
