Hi Roz,
Hope y'all had a great visit. Looks like it from the pictures on Facebook!!
It has been a really bad weekend here. One of DH's best friends passed away last night. He was 58 years old. They grew up across the street from each other, worked at the fire department together and retired at the same time 3 years ago. It has really hit DH hard. He had some health issues the last few months, they had a hard time figuring out what was wrong with him. They took his gall bladder out, he didn't get much better. They found out his stomach was not functioning so food was not being processed through his body and he was so sick. The doctor took 80% of his stomach out and made him a pouch. He was so weak when he had the surgery two weeks ago. He would be better one day and then worse the next day. He had been moved to a private room and they were talking about letting him go home. Sounds like the doctors were doing everything they could, but he had a blood clot and that was it - so sad. We just visited with them Friday and we were talking about protein and I was going to get him samples of things to try since he had a pouch kind of like mine.
Here is what I've had today.
B: Protein Decaf Coffee
S: Decaf Coffee

Awe.....that is so sad. It sounds like they had a strong bond. The older I get the harder it is to lose friends.
We did have a nice time today. My aunt was my Dads baby sister and she is the last of the siblings. Her mind was pretty bad today. I'm guessing this will be the last time I see her that she will remember me. She lives in FL and was up visiting her son. He said she is even worse than she was at Thanksgiving.
Sounds Good!
