silly me
Hope your tummy is better when you get this started back Price. After having to take the Carafate a couple of times I take something every day and have for the last two years. I take one that cost about $4.00 for 30 days. My surgeon told me to start with the cheapest and see if that worked, if not go to the next highest until I get what works. The cheapest has worked pretty good so far unless I eat a lot of tomato products-that seems to be the culprit for me!!

I have Prevacid - and at 4 years out I can now go without for awhile. I still keep some on hand for those days my tummy isn't feeling well - but - for the newbies - when your tummy feels "irritated or grouchy" and you haven't taken a PPI for awhile - that could be the culprit.
I had that happen, found myself eating more to make it feel better, only to return 1-2 hrs later. I realized then I needed to take my Prevacid and all was well.

My surgeon took me off of my Prilosec the day of surgery but within a week the other surgeon in the office put me back on it. I too have an upset stomach when I miss very many days of it and I also get hunger feelings. I'm thankful my PCP give me a prescription for 3 months worth at a time.
