Sometimes I ask myself what I really want out of the rest of my life .. what I want to look and feel like every day and what i'm willing to do to get and stay there .

Here are MY priorities :  rampant great health , no aches pains or limitations with God's help...

ramrod posture and all my teeth and organs  ...forever .. and TONS of energy every day

a taut sexy core , slim arms , great lines , great legs and the ability to rock almost any style of clothing

being able to be the hottest woman in the room when I want to be

at the same time  being respected for being successful , organized , and being able to be financially self sufficient , independently financially secure  and able to tell anyone to take hike whenever ...

 we can all DREAM lol

So... what are YOUR solutions ?  Mine is veggie veggie organic homegrown  10-minutes between the pick and the plate  veggie ... sounds totally STOOPID  doesn't it but it usually works remarkably well .... like i notice the guys who leave the stuffed eggplant shells on  the plate  for ME to eat grow huge bellies lol...while my my abdominal fat  ( the overfilled super-stuffers' lol surprisegradually goes away ...mail  probably thanx to the extra fat free fiber)

Also my husband and I are in couples therapy  at His suggestion .. and it REALLY WORKS  a least to rein in wrongheaded and stubborn hubbies  using another mans help  ( some like mine have a tendency to overtalk women and disregard their women's hard-won wisdom lol)  .  WHO KNEW IT COULD POSSIBLY WORK LOL ?!!!

I'd love to improve our quality of life MORE ...  what  have YOU tried  that worked 4 YOU and/or  improved Ur family's quality of life ?

Hi Ava!

Well... I improved my quality of life by getting divorced... but I'm so glad to hear your couples therapy is working!

As far as recent quality of life events, I make it to Michigan as much as I can to spend good, quality time with my Grand daughters.  They are so precious!  Of course kissing and hugging them improves MY quality of life!

I'm also wanting to preserve my health and have been looking into more organic and grass-fed beef, chicken, etc with no hormones or additives to the feed.  My daughter and I are going to go in together and buy a cow or pig and split the meat.  She's a healthy eater too and has been cooking very healthy dishes for her family.  I love it when I go to Michigan cause I'll have dinner almost every night with them - and I know it's something I can eat.  She knows my eating plan and usually does a very good job of making something that isn't uber carby or fatty.

first question I'll have what you are having please.

Second question

I was lucky and got a good man 40 years ago. We have become co-dependent over the years to the point that I have gotten to where I couldn't even poop without asking him how much and what color.

I have recently (over the last year) come to my senses with the help of LOTS of prayer and seriously depending on GOD.

God has weaned me off antidepressants and I have been taking anti depressants for 25 years. Through a series of events He put it in my heart that He was going to be my antidepressant and it was time for me to let them go and I would be just fine without them and I am,two weeks without them.

Through the same series of events and God does work in strange ways,I am successfully weaning myself off Nexium and on to a natural relief regimen. it is also working .

I am ,just now,3 years post op and 98% sugar and carb free, beginning to learn how to deal with the fact that I no longer can use food to stuff down my feelings. Amazingly,I feel more like the self I was 30 years ago than I have in a long time. I think some of that flying off the handle and fit throwing last spring had to do with not knowing a way to cope with those feelings without food.

Poor DH, a huge learning curve for him too. He has said in the past that he missed the vibrant ,happy, funny person that he fell in love with. Little did he know that he unwittingly had a hand in killing thAt girl. God is resurrecting her,so I hope DH was sincere when he said he missed her, cause she is coming back full bore.

I used food in my young life to stuff down every thing that one of my sisters didn't like. that was the rule of the family,if Lesa was happy, everyone was happy. I married at 17 to get away from her cause she was going to kill my spirit, literally. I went right into marriage with the same arsenal of tools, food. I have been using food ever since but not anymore. the people in my life who can't deal with it can move on.

Didn't mean to write a book here...

I've really been enjoying my thinner self.  I discovered running a couple years ago and really love it.  Hope my joints can stay healthy enough to keep it up.  My goal is to still be running at 80.  Maintenance is an ongoing challenge, but I think with myfitnesspal.com and exercising, I can eat pretty healthy and maintain.  I'm always adjusting and planning ahead for get-to-gethers with friends, but that's real life.  I'm sure at 80 I'll still be logging and tweeking my food intake.

I certainly want to be healthy and active for a long time.  That was my reason for WLS to begin with.

My ponies give me love, activity and a purpose away from the real world.

DH and I celebrated our 40th anniversary this year.  Neither of us is perfect but we do pretty well together and are great company for each other.

My garden is still giving me fresh veggies and I am a firm believer in fresh, organic food.

I love my Zumba and Muscle Pump.  Great stress relief and keeping me fit.
