Frustated and Impatient

How much longer?!  I got this ball rolling and called to get my first appointment with the surgeon in early October.  That was going to take so long that I started my weight loss trial while I was waiting.  I've since met with the surgeon, done all the classes, did the psych eval, had all blood work and EKG done, finished the weight lost trial, etc.  I have my upper GI on 2/8.  When do I get a date?!  At least I will have an idea...a countdown!  I'm SO ready!  Sorry to be a whiner, I'm just getting really frustrated.  Thanks for letting me vent!

I started in June 2010...was the 24th of Jan 2011 before I had my surgery. Part of my hold up was switching surgeons to get the surgery I wanted not what the first surgeon was WILLING to do.

You'll get the date soon and all of a sudden it will start flying by.

Congrats!  My insurance required 6 months which was a blessing in disguise.    Take advantage of this time to learn as much as possible about your type of surgery.

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!

I started in January 2011 trying to get approved.  Didn't get surgery till Sept 2012.  It happens, I had to battle insurance. Then do a 6 month program that they had to approve separately from bariatrics, but was required before any type of surgery. Once I had my approval from the insurance for bariatrics they let me set a date.
