Menus and Miles Saturday Feb. 9th

We got a new Chinese buffet in town but DH won't go because they stand there and watch you eat.  It is rather uncomfortable but I don't let things like bother me like he does.  The last time DD#3 and family went one of the women kept taking pictures of the youngest one and then came and took him out of his seat without asking and carried him around the room taking pictures of him with all of the employees.  DD was upset but her DH calmed her down.  DD#1 would have been furious!

That's pretty strange that they stand close by and watch you.  They probably want to be there in case you need anything, as a waiting staff would do for a wealthy family and guests. It does seem like someone should take them aside and explain the American culture a bit more. They love and dote on children and they do pass them around a lot to help them be more socialized. It helps the kids and gives the parents a little break.  
Last night we watched the kids get their little red envelops of New Year's ca**** starts with the youngest of the babies and goes up through the teenagers. The kids are expected to show respect thankfulness in a traditional way to their elders who give them the red envelopes. It's very nice and interesting. My 3 year old grandbaby has it down pat.  :)

Hope you got to skip out early today!!  We were going to have a spend the night party last night, but DGD#1 couldn't come.  DGD#2 came and we took her out ot eat and went to Walmart.  She and I were in the bed asleep by 9:30 last night, we were both pretty tired.

I made 200 tiny flowers today for her birthday cake.  I need to try and make some bows tomorrow for DGD#1's cake.  DGD#1's birthday party is next weekend and DGD#2's is the next weekend.  I really enjoyed my cake decorating class, I need to get updated on some procedures.

I have tried Cherry, Strawberry, Pineapple and Peach of the Dannon Fit & Lite Greek Yogurt and love every single one of them!!

Make sure you post pictures on FB of the cakes.  I tried it once and I just didn't have the patients...LOL

I have found the cherry or raspberry yogurt yet but I keep watching for it.  The blueberry is good too. The shelves are always empty when I get there.  I might have to go early in the morning when they are first stocked.

I still love fish sticks but I have to count them out ahead of time so I don't over do it.  I'm not Catholic but I love lent because of all of the fish specials.
