Back after 3.5 years...and nervous
Hi,
I'm Lauren. I had my surgery during the summer of 2009. I started at 250lbs and got down to 170lbs. Pretty early on, I gained back 20lbs and here I remain at 190-195lbs. I've been through quite a bit since my surgery, and don't see the sense in beating myself up over the weight gain. Instead I stand here now, ready to get back on the horse of reason. It'll be a tough ride as I'm struggling with not having a job right now, have relocated recently, etc., etc. But enough of the excuses, it's time to get back to work. First up is food shopping tomorrow. I don't have anything worth eating here anymore.
Lauren
Welcome back, Lauren. Good to see you.

Hi Lauren. I'm a holdover from Sept 2009 myself. It is sure easier to gain than not and requires work. Noone ever said maintainance would be easy and it isn't. But you are back and that is what counts. So jump right in. Many vets are here to help. High protein, green veggies, low carb. Seems to work for most of us.
