Hubby is spending the next 2 weeks out of town, working in DC both weeks, but visiting his folks in the middle over the weekend. I usually don't mind him being on travel, since I'm a bed hog! Yes, I'm shameless!! LOL But right now, the baby boy is going through a really strong attachment phase and Papa is his favorite person on Earth all of a sudden. I'm gonna struggle with this little turd. Hopefully Grammy will suffice until Papa comes back.
I had deli meat planned for lunch today, but on the way home from the airport I got a good whiff of fried chicken and caved. Bojangles chicken tenders for lunch. Those calories?!?! Good Lord. I'm hoping that calorie count includes the biscuit that came with the box, since I didn't eat it. Who knows.

I kept my surgery mostly private. I only told my, daughters and sisters while I was pre-op. I told my son the week before surgery and I told my nieces after surgery. I haven't told anyone outside family, and I've asked them to keep it to themselves.
I feel like, this is just as private as any other medical issue I might have. I wouldn't publicize anything else in my medical history, so this should remain private as well.
I'm not ashamed or embarrassed, I'm just a very private person.
If anyone asks why I am so suddenly thin, I say that I worked with my doctor to get to the healthiest weight possible and that I'm feeling better than I have in many years. Most people just drop it right there. If they ask for details, I ate a protein forward meal plan with limited carbs and calories. (All true)

I am pre-op DS (surgery date March 9!) and I am keeping my surgery private for now. I've told my husband (obviously), mother, and four close friends. For me, it just isn't anyone's business. I am a naturally very private person, and I would not discuss any other type of personal surgery with the general public, and I for now I won't discuss this either.
I was watching Aubrey in Wonderland's vlog on YouTube today and she said that she had discussed this same thing with her doctor. She said that she didn't want to feel like she was lying to people, but she also wanted to keep private. Her doctor recommended saying, "Thank you. I've been working really hard on it." If they press harder, you could say, "I've been doing a variety of things, including focusing on my eating and getting more exercise." And then ask them a question that changes the subject. I thought that was great advice, and I plan on implementing it.
Good afternoon Gang! This week is week 2 on the learn to run program....feeling pumped. Gym tonight as well. Was a good weekend, if you don't take into consideration non of my drivers did well in the race yesterday.

I just couldn't get all my Protein in without my Good Whey Protein Shakes. During the losing stage I drank 4 Protein drinks a day which added up to 140 grams a day. I didn't count any of the Proteins I got from food. They were just a bonus.

I had to take our almost 2 year old to a day care this morning and he cried hysterically. It just about killed me. DD doesn't come home from Dallas until tomorrow afternoon and I just couldn't miss work. I missed so many days when DH had his surgery 3 weeks ago. He goes to Sunday school but he's never been to day care.
Are you getting enough Protein in? I just can't seem to do it without my Protein Drinks.

There's been quite a few posters over my 8+ years of posting that have kept it quiet except for immediately family. I told my DH (Darling Hubby) right away and told my DD's (Darling Daughters) during my 6 month prep.
I told my Mom/brother/sister the week of and my brother of course knew people who had it and failed. After I lost around 40 pounds other people actually thought I was sick and were concerned so I did share with a few of them.
Do whats best for you! It can be pretty upsetting hearing others opinions and horror stories of failed WLS.
