Happy hump day gang! Today is day 2 of Couch 2 5K and then a workout with the trainer tonight at the gym. Down 2.4 lbs since Monday, but I contribute that to loss of water....down is down I guess, just makes up for my little ups I've had the last couple of weeks. Maybe my body is starting to be okay with this added exercise and is going to let go of the weight. We'll see if the trend continues.
I already reached my step goal for the day due to the lunchtime run, the rest of the day is bonus!
B - 3 farmboy meatballs
S - 5 slices of deli turkey with mustard (closer to noon to fuel my running)
L - chicken cordon swiss, cucumber slices
S- premier protein
D - shepperds pie
Totals - Cal 1067, Carbs 39, Protein 122
Have a great day!
Yum! Pumpkin pie might be my favorite food of all time. I can't resist. At. All.

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

I'm going to look into being a donor. Being a LW I'm not allowed to donate blood either. I wonder if there is an age limit for being a donor. I've always been super healthy. I rarely even get a cold.

Welcome back, Roz. I've been thinking about you! I hope hubby is feeling better, I'm sure recovery is going to take some time.
I've always been a donor, I can't imagine being able to help someone and not doing it. I guess I kinda see it like, I can't use it anymore, I may as well help someone in need when I'm gone. I started donating blood when I was still in high school, back then I was only allowed to donate half pints because I didn't weigh enough to give a full pint at a time. LOL Imagine that? I was under 100lbs until my first pregnancy!
Anywhoooo! Glad to see you back!

DH had surgery on his neck last Wednesday and didn't get out of the hospital until yesterday. He has had pain down his right arm and neck for years but it got to the point it had to be taken care of. They removed and replaced bones and disks. I didn't realize they were replacing the needed materials from Donors until we got a pamphlet at the end. That was a little overwhelming for him. I've been thinking I might like to get a donor card but I need to talk to my DH and DD's.
I'm back to work today with a lot of catching up to do. Talk to you all tomorrow!!!!

Most of my day is going to be occupied with cooking, since I woke up to the best VDay present so far!
Yep, I plan to Sous Vide everything in the fridge and freezer. LOL I'm going to try to copy those delicious Starbucks Sous Vide Egg Bites. My first batch is going to be bacon, sun-dried tomato and goat cheese.
My menu is completely unplanned, but I'm currently in the process of cooking burger patties for lunch. Breakfast was coffee and I'm working on a premier shake while I work in the kitchen.
Dinner will be steak from Cypress. Snacks will include anything I manage to get sous vide'ed before 4 pm when I have to get ready for dinner with Hubs! Weeeee! (Yes, I know that's not a real word, lol)
