WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

Happy Surgiversary! It IS truly wonderful to see someone this far out who has kept the weight off. I try to follow the same rules you espouse, so hopefully I will stay at goal as well over the long haul.

I am 5'3" and weigh 115-118. My maintenance calories are an average of 1250. I know the average because I track and chart them plus I had an RMR (resting metabolism rate) test. When I get to the top (or above) my range I drop my calories to about 800 until it comes back down near the bottom. My recommendation is that you drop your calories (but keep the protein at the current level at minimum).

Holy moly- I just ran the numbers on a calorie calculator website- it makes sense actually! It says 1013 cals per day to lose 1lb a week. My avg loss per week has been .75-1.0 lb per week. To lose 2lbs a week at my current weight- it puts me at 515 cals per day- wow! Maybe I can meet in the middle and shoot for 800 cals. 1.5 per week would feel good for body and mind.

I respectfully disagree with the two vets, for whom I do have the utmost respect
If you're sitting at around 133 lbs I would think that 1200 calories is maintenance calories.
I would try and cut down your calories without impacting your protein numbers. If you can lose the half and half in your coffee and use Premier Protein as your whitener.
I try and stay at about 1000-1100 calories to lose but I'm 170 lbs.
It will be harder to lose because you're further out but it's still calories in vs. calories out. Like someone asked, what is your exercise routine if any? You don't mention what your water intake is. I would try to get that over 100 oz per day.
I'm pretty much still a newbie, so take my advice however you want.
Good luck with the weightloss and Congrats on the wedding!
Thanks Ginny! I don't excersize much, outside of daily dog walks. I don't like to do it during losing phases especially; water weight gain from working out really messes with my head. on maintenance I do venture out more.
I'm thinking that sometimes I add a low cal salad dressing to my spinach, and that's just empty calories. If I cut that out it will save me some carbs and calories both (cant give up that half & half yet hehe!).
Next week instead of spinach salad i'll do a light sautee of spinach garlic and mushrooms and see how I do.

Welcome back Roz! I must have missed the post about you going on vacation, I was getting more than a little worried about you!
I did 5 kms at the gym this morning. I wanted to keep going because I was watching Fantastic 4 in the cardio theatre and I was the only one in there!!
