Hello Kimanne! Thank you so much for writing to me. It won't be long before we both have surgery (mine is Sept. 7th). I read your profile and I hope you keep it up because your words are a joy to read and ring so true. I think your friend will come around. Mine have all accepted it and are supportive since I told them I have DECIDED and I AM GOING TO DO THIS and DON'T NEED ANYONES PERMISSION. My 16 year old son feels the same way your daughter does but I keep emphasizing how much I can do with him afterwards. We will join a gym together and I won't be so tired. Remind her of that. It's all about the health (although looking better is nice too) ;) Anyway, I hope to keep in touch with you and will be reading your profile for updates. Take care! You are in my prayers too. Laura

thank you for the prayers. and congrats on getting your date. just alittle note, time flies when you have a date....lol I found out at the end of June and that is the fastest I have seen 2 months fly by....lol will update as soon as I can :)

Congratulations on your surgery date. It will speed by before you know it. I have 9 days to go. I am excited and scared spitless at the same time. Hope your friend keeps her opinions to herself. My mother-in-law is really against wls. We mentioned it once to her and feathers flew!! Since she lives in Maryland and I live in Georgia, we decided to leave her out. She will know about my surgery sometime after the fact. I just don't want to have to defend my decision any more than I have to. It is scarey enough as it is without all the doomsday warning.
