October 13th Dear Kimberley: Greetings! I just completed reading your profile, your success (and great music) made me cry with joy for you!!! Thank you for keeping such an excellent diary of your wls journey, it's greatly appreciated. I had Lap-RNY on August 20th of this year, and then on September 28th I had 'open' surgery for two blockages in my small intestines. The weight loss has been great and returned health a blessing. WOW girlfriend you look awesome.You look so much younger.I always though we would look older because the wringles wouldn,t be filled in.I have been so surprize losing weight not only adds to your life but, you look younger too.Keep up the wonderful job your doing.I am around four hundred now. ~~~~YIKES!! my monthly update that I posted yesterday got lost in cyberspace!! Yesterday was my ten month anniversary and I am VERY VERY HAPPY to say that I am minus 235 pounds and more then 156 inches. There are some parts that I never thought about measuring prior to surgery so I know the numbers should be more. I am at the point in my journey where the weight loss has slowed and I guess may basically stop. For me, that is ok. Reconstructive surgery has been put on hold until at least early summer. I had a December date but decided that I should look into other doctors. There is not any local plastic people that have the experience of doing massive body contouring with weight loss surgery patients. My insurance has yet to give approval for the surgery that I had scheduled so finding the money to pay for some of the procedures will be difficult at best. But, this awful skin is more then I can take. After the school year ends I plan on being reconstructed to look like a person once more. I do have a new pic but the photo gerus haven't had the opportunity to get it posted. Formerly a size 34+ now in 14 jeans and a large top. HUMMM...makes me wonder if I might actually get into a 10 or smaller after plastic surgery!! There are many, many people undergoing surgery in the next few weeks. Many of you take the time to send your support and caring words to preops. As a person awaiting surgery and one that needed the encouragement after my surgery obesityhelp folks were awesome. Not too many places where you can find a group of people that understand your issues and can make you feel like a million bucks!!...~~~KimmieTN
