Dear Merry, Do not despair! I recieved a total of four letters. Call your insurance's customer service and ask to be in touch with their appeal board. You may have to fight for you rights. Its worth it. I now have approval and am now waiting on a date. I had doctors who saw me for other conditions considered comorbidities write letters. This helped. Start a file and keep notes concerning what other information they need. They are not the enemy, it is not personal. It is however policy. Hang in there, Pam

HELP !! I'VE BEEN DENIED....<P><P><P>Okay, I need anyone and everyones help. Cigna HMO has denied my preauthorizaion for surgery. I am in desperate need of things to include in my APPEAL LETTER.<p><p><p>I am sooo upset today....I can hardly believe it. Congradulations on your surgery date, not much longer to wait. I am doing really good since my banding. As of last week 29th i had lost 20pounds in 26 days of post op. Not too shabby. I can really tell places that I am loosing. It is kindof all over, but it doesn't matter. It is well worth the wait. I wish you a successful journey to the other side. Please keep in touch.
