Becca-thanks so much for the words of encouragement. they really mean a lot to me. I have read your site and am so glad you are doing so well.I have a question for you-how is Curves? Would you reccommend it after surgery? I am very large and am concerned that I may not be able to do everything and that it would be a waste of money if I can't use all the machines. What is your opinion? Thanks a lot!

Hi everyone, It has been awhile since I have checked in so I thought that I would come on and let you all know how I am doing. I have been sick for the last week with a horrid cold. Being sick with the band is an adventure all in itself. I have not been all that hungry but have been making myself eat and drink so that I can keep up my strength. I got back to Curves yesterday and though it was hard to get back into the routine of things, I feel much better for having gone. I went again today and feel good. Just came in and turned on my television and the memorial service for those lost on Columbia is starting. Such a sad day, but I know that the space program will go on again one day when they figure out what happened. I have managed to lose some more weight. I am down to 403. Amazing that I have done this well. Maybe this is the thing that will work for me. I am thinking all the time about what I eat and not eat and get in my protein first. But I don't deny myself. If I want something I have it. Just in much smaller amounts. Life is a learning curve and I am always learning new things about my band and myself and it is always a good thing. Hugs to all, Becca AGB 9/16/02 Portland, Oregon Dr. Emma Patterson 496/403/??? -93
