HELLO AMOS FAMILY. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU THAT POSTED ENCOURAGEMENT ON MY PAGE OR VIA EMAIL. VERY UPLIFTING. THE KINDNESS OF STRANGERS....Well I have the best PCP in the world. Not the drug,my doctor. LOL. ...Anywho..today I went to see my PCP. I've been having headaches for about 3 weeks now. It began when I changed my birth control pills. I had to change them because I was bleeding through the old ones. He insisted that we need to get this excessive bleeding under control before surgery. I agree but I dont know where else to start. I told him that I'd changed my GYN because they always change my appt without telling me and was never available for me. By the time I got to work I had a call from the old GYN apologizing. The office manager insisted that they would send a letter of apology. I was so moved that I decided to give them another chance. AM I CRAZY FOR DOING THIS?. I hope not. My PCP also believes that I need to have my CPAP adjusted since I have not been sleeping well. He says that could also be the reason for the headaches. OH GUESS WHAT? LAST WEEK WHEN I SAW THE PCP I WAS 294...TODAY I AM 288. MY APPETITE HAS BEEN SUCK..I THINK I LIKE THIS BC PILL...except for the headaches. 49 Days and a wake up!!!!!!!OPEN RNY 12/18/02

OK 10/27/02 was my 31st birthday. Happy birthday to me. Each year I say this is the year that I'll lose the weight. Well guess what. God is good. This will be the year. OPEN RNY 12/18/02. I am originally from the U.S. Virgin Islands (St. Thomas). I have not been home in almost 10 yrs. Most of my family is here on the mainland but my parents and one sister is still there. Now I've seen them when I went to Antigua 2 yrs ago (that's where I was reared until I was 7). And all they seem to be able to talk about was how fat I was. Now mind you they aren't exactly the poster child for skinny...some are even heavier than I am. Anyway I said the next time they see me they'll be flabberghasted (sp?). I told my 2 sisters who are here on the mainland that I was having the surgery. One was exited for me. She said to me..."now you could be ALMOST as fine as me". LOL. My other sister was like " You gonna have liposuction? Why don't u just exercise like u always do. You always lose the weight when you do that!" I was soooo mad. I told her goodbye and almost hung up on her. But I told her that all those diets were only temporary solutions. She seemed to understand and ended the conversation with I Love You Lisa!.....Ok..OK I told her I loved her too. I am not a meanie. LOL. Anywho I'll be having breast surgery on 11/01. There is a skin tag on my nipple that is not cancerous they say. My mammogram came back negative so that's good. So I am having the tag or whatever the medical term for it is...removed. Pray for me on this one. I am going under even though the doc said they can use local anesthesia. I am squeamish so I was like NO WAY! I think they think that I am crazy. Maybe I am. LOL. Anyway AMOS family, you guys are the best. LUV Y'ALL!!! God Bless! 50 DAYS AND A WAKE UP!!!

I received my date in the mail today. I am sooooooo excited. On 12/05/02 I have to do all my pre-op testing. Then I complete my pre-op 12/11/02. They ask that I bring $40 even though I am covered at 100%. What's that about? But anyway, compared to what I've read here on AMOS, I am pretty lucky. Anyway, my date is 12/18/2002. Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
